8th MHeNS Translational Neuroscience Workshop: “Waking up the brain: Mechanisms of arousal in health and disease”
Maastricht University / D. van den Hove, N. Leibold, K. Schruers,
H. Steinbusch, N. Nicolson, N. Senden
Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying transitions between arousal states in health and disease are important to be able to develop interventions and treatments for disorders associated with a dysfunctional arousal response. Using similar research approaches in e.g. rodents and humans may be the most promising way to be able to translate results from one discipline to another one. The workshop will consist of two parts: introductory talks in the morning and an interactive group assignment in the afternoon.
D. van den Hove, N. Leibold, K. Schruers, H. Steinbusch, N. Nicolson, N. Senden.
Invited speaker: Dr. Gordon Buchanan, Yale University/USA.
